Jocosa Sanderson
MFT Intern
Jocosa believes that every individual is the expert in their own life. That everyone has the capacity to change.
Jocosa Sanderson is a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern who has always had an incurable curiosity about people, their lives, and relationships. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education with an emphasis in Health Sciences from Brigham Young University.
The passion to lift and mentor others began 27 years ago when she began teaching health to junior high and high school students. She found that her students were more interested in telling her about their challenges than learning about the skeletal system. This passion grew as she raised 6 crazy and energetic children. Jocosa believes that every individual is the expert in their own life. That everyone has the capacity to change. And that with curiosity, investigating the past, and envisioning a better future, lives can be improved.
Currently, Jocosa is enrolled in the Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy Program at Capella University and is beyond excited to continue her journey helping people improve their futures. Jocosa enjoys spending time with her husband and kids shark fishing in Florida, reading books about relationships, and trail running with her dog Leonidas.
