Kaitlyn Callahan is a Master of Social Work Intern passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and discover their inner resilience. Her path into the social work field began with a deep interest in supporting people through times of transition and hardship, and she quickly developed a love for walking alongside clients as they work toward healing and growth.

Kaitlyn has gained experience in both university counseling and community mental health settings, where she has worked with diverse populations, including young adults, families, and individuals facing mental health, relationship, and life stressors. She is skilled in assessment, crisis intervention, and collaborative treatment planning and brings a compassionate, strengths-based approach to every session.

Currently, in her final year of her Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Utah, Kaitlyn integrates evidence-based practices with warmth and empathy. She believes that lasting change happens when clients feel truly heard and supported, and she strives to create a safe and welcoming space for open, authentic conversation.

Kaitlyn is passionate about meeting clients where they are, helping them identify their strengths, and walking with them toward their goals. Kaitlyn encourages clients to show up fully as themselves, as she finds power in authenticity. She enjoys incorporating practical tools, creativity, and mindfulness to help clients build meaningful, sustainable life changes.

As an intern, Kaitlyn practices under the supervision of Misty Covington, LCSW.
