Marie Dyer is a Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) Intern with over a decade of experience in the healing professions. Marie completed her undergraduate degree in Nursing from Utah Valley University before transitioning to her current work as an MFT Intern at Sage Family Counseling.
Marie believes that each story requires a witness, and she is passionate about clearing space for her clients to be seen in their truth from a place of warmth and empathy. Her approach is centered around evidence-based techniques in mindfulness, somatic awareness, and emotional experiencing.
Marie is currently enrolled in the Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy Program at Capella University, where she is focusing her studies on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and The Gottman Method. Her goal is to help individuals, couples, and families gain clarity, navigate conflict, and strengthen relationships. She strives to follow the latest research coming out of the mental health field to provide results-driven care for her clients. With Marie, you can trust that you're getting care from a dedicated student intern who's committed to helping you achieve your goals.
In her spare time, Marie loves to spend time outside in nature, mountain biking, and soaking up the sunshine. She practices meditation and yoga to take care of her mind and body, and enjoys both the richness and challenges that come through her relationships. She believes that taking care of oneself is essential not only for living a healthy and balanced life but also for cultivating healthy relationships.
