Misty is passionate about working with adolescents and adults about grief, eating disorders and a wide variety of mental health issues.

Misty Covington is a licensed therapist who has worked in the field for 28 years. She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work along with Human Development as an Extra Major Skill. She earned her undergrad degree from BYU-Hawaii and her Master’s degree from Eastern Washington State. She has done extensive work in the field of social work in four states and two countries. Misty has owned and operated several successful family businesses and has worked for several local and national corporations assisting with growth and development through training, coaching, counseling and developing specialized programs, unique to each organization.

Misty is passionate about being a therapist and has had the opportunity to work in a number of positions which has given her a wealth of experience such as eating disorders, substance abuse and addictions, domestic violence, marriage/family, adolescents, mental health, geriatrics, medical and protective services. She is an author of one book regarding grief and co-authored another, DIY book. One core belief that Misty has is the importance of one’s Self-Concept. If an individual knows who they are and believes they are capable and worthy of being successful, they will be able to learn and develop any goal or achievement they desire. She looks forward to having the opportunity to help facilitate change with each client.

When she is not counseling she enjoys designing and remodeling homes, spending time with family and friends, hiking, and planning for future adventures.
