Taylor LaMont

AMFT

Taylor is someone that understands the importance of compassion, gratitude and self acceptance, while at the same time balances that with his growth mindset, motivation and grit.

Taylor LaMont is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. Taylor has always wanted to be in the mental health field since he had a few life changing therapists work with him when he was a kid and teenager. It was through those experiences and his first job at a residential treatment center for adolescent boys that really cemented his passion for helping others through the toughest times of their lives. This led him to get his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Utah Valley University, which was a great base knowledge that helped push him to receive his Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.

One thing that sets Taylor apart from most other mental health professionals is his expertise in high performance and leadership. Taylor was a Division 1 Wrestler for Utah Valley University for 6 years and then transferred to the University of Wisconsin for his final year of eligibility where he furthered his education by getting an additional Masters degree in Sports Leadership.

Because of the experience Taylor has from his personal life, extensive education, and high performance/coaching in athletics, he provides a unique set of understanding and skills that has allowed him to help people along their own journey through life. He is someone that understands the importance of compassion, gratitude and self acceptance, while at the same time balances that with his growth mindset, motivation and grit.

Because Taylor is still chasing his dreams in the sport of wrestling, he currently is living out of state so all of his therapy is done online. Although therapy through the screen sometimes can seem limiting, Taylor is confident that he can still provide a safe and healing environment for those who think he is a great fit!

As an associate, Taylor practices under the supervision of Dr. Branden Henline
