Emily is a licensed clinical social worker with nearly 20 years of experience working with people in crisis. She earned her masters of Social Work (MSW) degree from Brigham Young University whose program has a strong emphasis on clinical social work. One of her favorite employment opportunities was working as a bilingual counselor doing family counseling in client’s homes where she was honored to be a part of their journey in helping them resolve family conflicts and enhance their interpersonal relationship skills using the dynamics of the sacred space of their home. Because the quality of our relationships affects our health, happiness and even life expectancy, Emily understands that working with people to improve their relationships is the best investment a person can make. She uses her training in EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and is currently working toward completing level 2 training in Gottman Method Couple Therapy. She specifically works with individuals, couples and families in the areas of addiction, pornography, anxiety/depression, and self-esteem/self-actualization.
