Sarah helps individuals overcome emotional obstacles, gain deeper self-awareness, navigate life transitions, and move toward creating meaningful, value-driven lives aligned with their ideal sense of self.
Sarah Brown is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling student intern currently completing her master’s degree at Capella University. She earned her Bachelor’s of Arts in Educational Studies and brings a background in education, where she developed a strong foundation in supporting adolescents and individuals through personal, academic, and emotional challenges.
Sarah is passionate about supporting individuals navigating chronic illness, women experiencing identity shifts—particularly those transitioning out of religious communities—and individuals facing relational challenges. She helps clients cultivate clarity, confidence, and deeper, more fulfilling connections in their lives.
Sarah takes an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from Adlerian, Reality Therapy, and Solution-Focused modalities. She believes that understanding the influence of past experiences is essential, while also emphasizing personal responsibility, present-moment choices, and the ability to create meaningful change. She works collaboratively with clients to build insight, develop practical strategies, and move toward lasting growth.
Outside of the counseling setting, Sarah enjoys spending time with her children, weightlifting, and exploring her interests in health, wellness, and personal development.
As an intern, Sarah practices under the supervision of Branden Henline, PhD, LMFT.
