Colby helps individuals, couples, and families navigate life transitions, strengthen relationships, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
Colby Christensen works with individuals, couples, and families facing major life changes, relationship challenges, faith transitions, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, pornography concerns, and questions about identity and direction. He especially enjoys helping clients who feel stuck between where they have been and where they want to go.
Colby is completing his Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Northcentral University. His approach is practical, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based therapy. He draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients better understand the patterns affecting their lives and build tools for meaningful change.
Before entering the mental health field, Colby worked in the corporate world, where he spent years sitting across from people navigating career changes and other significant transitions. Those experiences gave him an early understanding of how deeply personal change can be, even when it appears professional on the surface. Experiences within his own family further shaped his desire to become a therapist and reinforced the importance of having someone in your corner during difficult seasons.
Colby especially enjoys working with couples who want to strengthen communication and connection, individuals navigating faith or identity transitions, men working through emotional or relational concerns, and clients who want practical support alongside deeper personal exploration. His goal is to create a space where clients feel heard, understood, and capable of moving forward—even when life feels uncertain or overwhelming.
Outside of therapy, Colby is an enthusiastic pickleball player, lifts weights with what he describes as “modest results,” and spends as much time as possible in the mountains mountain biking, hiking, and looking for wildlife on his next adventure.
Colby practices under the supervision of Branden Henline, PhD, LMFT.
