Hayden Powell is a Master of Social Work Intern. They completed their bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Utah Valley University and are currently completing their Master of Social Work at the University of Utah.
Hayden has spent many years working in the human service field. They have an appreciation for the unique challenges that our youth face today and have grown a deep connection to them through their time as a Paraprofessional at Providence Hall Junior High in Herriman, Utah. Additionally, they spent their previous year as a Veterinary Social Worker at MedVet, primarily assisting families through the grief process of losing their smaller, furrier family members.
Hayden is passionate about helping anyone overcome the challenges they face in their day-to-day lives and become the best version of themselves. Hayden, currently in their last year of their Master’s degree, incorporates a variety of evidence-based practices with warmth and unconditional kindness. They are skilled in assessment, particularly behavioral assessment, patient-centered treatment planning, and crisis intervention.
When Hayden is not in the therapy office, they enjoy spending time with their wife and many animals, creative writing, and experiencing stories through video games. As an intern, Hayden practices under the supervision of Misty Covington, LCSW.
