Lauren combines emotional processing with a systemic approach to help individuals, couples, and families break old patterns and create space for deep healing.
Lauren is a Student Marriage and Family Therapist Intern. She completed her bachelor’s degree in exercise science at BYU and is currently studying her masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Utah Valley University.
Lauren has always enjoyed working in the therapeutic field and has 6 years experience with working therapeutically with adolescents. Before graduate school, she coached softball, where she worked closely with athletes and parents to build confidence, resilience, and skills both on and off the field. She is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families better understand themselves, explore patterns that may no longer be serving them, and create space for growth and healing. She believes many of our deepest wounds stem from attachment injuries, and she incorporates emotional processing alongside different systemic approaches tailored to each client’s unique needs and experiences.
She views all behaviors as meaningful, not something to be judged, but something that can guide people toward deeper understanding and a more fulfilling future when they take time to explore the experiences behind them. Once emotions and deeper patterns are identified, the real work begins. Lauren is committed to continued learning and to creating a safe, open, and supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued.
When Lauren is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, practicing yoga, weightlifting, exploring the mountains, and reading.
As a student therapist, Lauren practices under the supervision of Whitney Sanchez, LMFT.
