Shellie VanOrman is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and member of the International Marriage and Family Therapy Honor Society. She has always had a heartfelt passion for helping others, offering empathy, genuine listening, and meaningful connection to those she works with. She is dedicated to improving the overall wellness of individuals seeking help with family/marital concerns, divorce, blending families, co-parenting, ADHD, adolescent issues, mental health, betrayal trauma, addiction, depression, OCD, anxiety, discernment therapy, and more.
Her greatest desire is to help others reach their full potential and achieve their goals. Her approach integrates evidence-based methods with a deep respect for each client’s unique story and strengths. With a balance of empathy, practical guidance, and research, she helps clients gain new insights, develop effective tools, and build stronger emotional connections. She welcomes individuals, couples, and families from all walks of life.
Shellie is trained in EMDR trauma informed therapy, has completed the Level 1 & 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and the Gottman courses in Couples & Addiction Recovery and Treating Affairs and Trauma. She is also fluent in Spanish and is a member of the Utah Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (UAMFT).
Shellie is from Lehi, UT and enjoys traveling, cooking, spending time outdoors with her family, and cheering on her four children in all their various activities.
