Star works to support individuals and couples by combining practical, collaborative strategies with trauma-informed, attachment-focused principles (TBRI) to foster self-awareness and intentional growth.
Star Widerberg is a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies. She has two years of experience facilitating peer-support meetings focused on inner-child work and parts work. She also has training in Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), a trauma-informed, attachment-focused approach to supporting children as they develop. This unique background gives her a strong foundation in understanding how personal healing and family dynamics often intersect.
She works with individuals and couples to identify patterns, navigate relational challenges and strengthen communication. Star’s approach is collaborative and combines practical strategies with an emphasis on self awareness and intentional growth. Currently completing her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Capella University, Star draws on both her professional training and personal experience to help clients build connection, resilience, and meaningful relationships with others and with themselves.
Outside of therapy, she finds balance through solo walks and time spent with her husband, four children, and friends. She also loves listening to music, especially when it’s live. As an intern, Star practices under the supervision of Branden Henline, PhD, LMFT. branden@sagefc.com
